DESCRIPTION Gyeongbokgung Palace was built in 1395. It continued to serve as the main palace until the Japanese invasions of Korea (1592 – 1598), when all of the palaces were severely damaged. It was not until about 1868 that the palace was reconstructed and expanded to a 410,000m² complex with over 500 buildings. It flourished for several decades in this state until the Japanese once again demolished the palaces during their occupation of Korea (1910-1945). The 40-year restoration project that aims to fully restore Gyeongbokgung Palace to its original form has been ongoing since 1990.

DESCRIPTION The Seoul city walls, or seonggwak in Korean, were built according to the 9th century oriental geomancy, which stated that a kingdom’s capital should be protected by mountains on its north, south, east, and west. You will kilometer-long hike northward toward Naksan Park from the hustle and bustle of the Dongdaemun area. You could feel yourself being lifted above the city’s frenzy. To your left, clearly marking the trail, were stone walls with battlements standing over ten meters tall.

DESCRIPTION Truly a unique & rare experience in the whole world. This visit will leave you with a dramatic sense of the tremendous tragedy of separated families, the division of the peninsula and the hopes for reunification. The 3rd Tunnel is one of several underground tunnels dug under the DMZ (demilitarized zone) by North Korea for the purpose of infiltrating troops into South Korea in case of hostilities.

DESCRIPTION A landmark of the metropolitan city of Seoul, N Seoul Tower was introduced as new name from Namsan Tower and is providing more fun and excitement. From the highest point, N Seoul Tower has been embracing the city for the last 25 years giving memories and stories to people. One of the oldest and largest markets in Seoul, Dongdaemun Market is a colorful, bustling spot for bargain shoppers. Many stores are not much bigger than closets, but the combination of goods covering a wide spectrum brightens the sprawling 10 block shopping area. You can find the largest selection of silk in Korea as well as other fabrics, shoes, sports equipments, bags, vegetables and fishes, and clothes of all kinds. This market is no stranger to foreigners, who come here from all over the world to find bargains at any time of the day, even 5’oclock in the morning.

DESCRIPTION You’ll reach Galmaegisal Alley in the Doneui-dong district, the inside of busy Jongro Street. The restaurants flanking the alley were at least ten to twenty years old. Though they were small and shabby, they offered great service and even better food. As the sun began to set, the restaurants prepared for customers by putting tables and chairs out in the small alley. This creates a more intimate and relaxed atmosphere than most restaurant areas. The local guide will teach you eating and drinking customs even drinking games. If you happen to enjoy liquor, you are most certainly going to enjoy this tour even more.

DESCRIPTION Korean Folk Village is a living museum that recreates the lifestyle of several centuries ago. There are potters, weavers, blacksmiths, and other artisans who practice their trades in traditional fashion. There are also 240 traditional homes and a small amphitheater for music and folk dances. If time permits, you will see the farmers’ dance or traditional wedding ceremony held at the nobleman’s house.
Suwon Hwaseong Fortress was built with the first use of cranes and other latest construction engineering of the 18th century. The construction was planned by the 22nd king of the Joseon Dynasty, Jeongjo, when he moved his father’s tomb in 1789. Each structure well harmonizes architectural splendor and function on a key strategic spot.

DESCRIPTION Changdeokgung Palace is the second royal villa built after Gyeongbukgung Palace in 1405. Changdeokgung was the principal palace for many of the Joseon kings, and is the best preserved among the five remaining royal Joseon palaces. The palace grounds are comprised of a public palace area, a royal family residence building, and the rear garden. The World Cultural Heritage Committee also designated Changdeokgung Palace as a World Cultural Heritage in 1997.
After lunch at the restaurant, you will stroll leisurely along the Insa-dong Street. There is one main road in Insa-dong with alleys on each side. Within these alleys are galleries, traditional restaurants, traditional teahouses, and cafes.

DESCRIPTION Gyeongju was the capital of the Silla Kingdom for a thousand years, and the valley in which it is situated has a great concentration of historic buildings, temples, and artifacts. After the Silla Kingdom unified the peninsula in A.D. 676, the city developed into one of the world's major cultural centers. The area is called a "Museum without Walls" because of the wealth of historical buildings and treasures to be found there.
